Technical Sales Engineer – Coatings, Construction, Flooring
JOB SUMMARY
Our Client is looking to hire a Technical Sales Engineer with a speciality in Coatings, Construction, Flooring. The candidate for this role of technical Sales Engineers is required to translate highly complex technical information to customers and clients, focusing on revealing how BMC product solve specific problems. The Technical Sales Engineers is required to sell technical products in the Coating sector. The Technical Engineers is also required to attend exhibitions, meet with clients, and liaise with production engineers. They may also make product improvement recommendations.
STRATEGIC TASKS
- Prospect for new Clients and maximizing Client potential in designated regions.
- Developing long-term relationships with Clients.
- Calculating Client quotations and Administering Client accounts.
- Negotiating tenders with contract terms and conditions.
- Providing Pre-Sales Technical assistance and advice.
- Analyzing Costs and Sales, preparing reports for Management and keeping Customer records.
- Meeting regular Sales Targets and coordinating Sales Projects.
- Using technical skills to demonstrate to potential customers the usefulness of the product and how it suits the customer better than competing products.
- Writing reports and liaising with the production team regarding issues, foreseeable problems, and effective solutions.
- Simplifying technical terms during product demonstrations and post-sales customer support.
- Maintaining strong professional relationships with existing clients and meeting with new clients to expand sales territories.
- Updating orders and sales and negotiating the best contract terms.
COMPETENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, or applied sciences.
- A solid Technical Sales background with minimum of 5 years’
- Experience in the field of coatings, construction or flooring.
- Sales and Communication skills, analytical and problem-solving skills,
- Organizational skills and team-working capabilities.
- Solid local and industry market knowledge.
- Experience in sales would be advantageous.
- Strong customer service, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational, research, and multitasking abilities.
- Strong negotiating and problem-solving skills.
- A professional appearance.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Willingness to travel.
WORK-STYLE
Fully remote and subsequently hybrid.
RENUMERATION
SALARY – a monthly net salary of N650,000.00 upwards depending on level of experience and competencies skill set.
BONUS – Quarterly Payments of Bonus where KPIs are met and
Sales Targets reached.
